Amrit blends together experiences across private equity, general management, and strategy consulting. As an investor, he has been involved in transactions representing ~$750M of enterprise value. As an operator, he has led several business divisions and driven significant growth initiatives. 

Prior to founding Winterford Capital, Amrit served as an Investor at Prime Capital, an operationally-focused middle-market investment arm of a large New York-based alternative asset firm. His experience includes buyouts, value creation, and realization of investments. 

Earlier in his career, Amrit served as General Manager at a high-growth industrial portfolio company where he was responsible for leading three business divisions. Additionally, he served as a Management Consultant at Schlumberger Business Consulting, where he worked on operations improvement projects in the energy sector. 

Amrit enjoys playing an active role in his community. He co-founded a non-profit that helped provide food and critical hygiene items to hundreds of families affected by the Covid-19 crisis. Also, he co-chairs the leadership council of a national non-profit, Upwardly Global, which helps immigrants and refugees attain skilled jobs in the US. 

Amrit earned degrees in Aerospace Engineering (with Honors) and in Business Administration (with High Honors) from the University of Texas at Austin. He currently resides in Houston, TX and enjoys running, weight-lifting.
